The Great Matchsby

The game “The Great Matchsby” was created during the Global Game Jam 2020 (January 31st until February 2nd). The topic of this game Jam was “Repair”. It is a 2D puzzle game.

Goal of the game is, to seat the guests together according to their interests. Every guest has 3 positive topics and 2 negative topic, that define him or her. If two guests are sitting together at a table, their interests are compared and a matching level is calculared. The lower the matching level is, the faster the candle on the table burns down. If a candle goes out, the guests leave the restaurant and are rated as the worst match. As soon as time runs out or the player interacts with the door, the round ends and evaluation starts.
